Rolley Scooterson
Zero learning curve is required to ride a Rolley Scooterson. The scooter is intuitive even for people who haven’t learnt to ride a bicycle and the rider only has to remember the position of the brake levers. There is no gear shifter, nor acceleration lever—the scooter knows how fast to go by analysing body movements. The rider first pushes off like riding a regular kick-scooter—this sets the scooter in gear one, the second kick shifts to gear two, then the rider simply sits for gear three. The scooter also automatically starts when the rider is within an active range.
The contextual UI from the minimalist dashboard shows exactly what is needed at the right moment. Automatic adaptive headlights and mood lights increase the visibility of the rider on the road. Keyless operation and anti-theft function are integrated for peace of mind. Using A.I., the scooter adapts torque settings to match with remaining battery levels. This allows the rider to ride at peak performance without draining the battery before arriving at the destination. A.I. is also used to increase energy efficiency and safety based on riding patterns, rider profile and surrounding terrain.
The ergonomics were tested to find the perfect universal dimensions that would work for any height and body measures to eliminate the need to adjust the seat or handlebar. Using components made of magnesium alloys and aerospace grade aluminium alloys, assembled on the world’s first full Carbon/Kevlar-reinforced polymer chassis designed for a scooter, the composite body is three times lighter than any other scooter in the same form-factor. When it comes to aesthetics, all curves and proportions have well-studied ratios and the decorative patterns are mathematically generated for a clean and organic look.
