Haptic Puzzle

Haptic Puzzle is a translucent cubic object with an internal form that is barely recognisable. Children are encouraged to use their sense of touch to explore the inner forms of the cubes while imagining what they would be. This puzzle consists of a three-dimensional segmented object made of hard material that is covered by soft, translucent silicone cubes. Children explore the shape of the three-dimensional object by pressing the silicone cubes or connecting pieces next to each other. When the puzzle is completed and illuminated from below, the softly defined silhouette comes into view, and children can compare it to the shapes they imagined from the tactile experience. Children in modern society are increasingly exposed to digital devices, and information is primarily transmitted through visual and auditory communication, limiting their opportunities to interact with nature and engage with the physical world. There is concern that this will have a negative impact on their sensory integration, creativity, and imagination. Haptic Puzzle is expected to foster higher senses, such as balance and exercise capacities, by training the sense of touch and imagination in a fun way.
