Red Dot Award: Design Concept 2022
Gwangju Design Biennale
As part of the South Korean 10th Gwangju Design Biennale, which will take place from 7 September to 9 November 2023, Professor Dr Peter Zec, CEO and founder of Red Dot, will hold the Key Note Speech titled "Design Value" on 7 September. In his lecture, he will highlight the importance of design as a driving force for economic growth and value creation. The lecture will be available afterwards on the website of the Biennale.
Contemporary Good Design Award 2023, Xiamen
The Contemporary Good Design Award, or CGD for short, is an international design prize organised by Red Dot since 2015 and held in the southern Chinese port city of Xiamen. This competition is the only one in China whose jury is made up of more than half non-Chinese experts. The competition offers internationally operating companies the opportunity to position themselves on the Chinese market with the help of an excellent design. Registration is possible until 19 September 2023. The award ceremony, including a special exhibition, will take place on 28 November 2023 in Xiamen.
Red Dot Design Museum Singapore
The Red Dot Design Museum in Singapore, located in the iconic Marina Bay, now displays a collection of more than 500 Red Dot Award: Product Design, Red Dot Award: Design Concept and Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design exhibits.
Furniture China 2023, Shanghai
Furniture China is the largest furniture fair in Asia. To promote innovation, the fair has joined forces with ELLE DECORATION, among others, to launch the Gold Idea Furniture Design Award, whose chairman of the jury will be Professor Dr. Peter Zec. The fair will take place in Shanghai from 11 to 15 September.
Red Dot Design Museum Xiamen
“International Design Innovation – Awarded by Red Dot” is the name of the new special exhibition at the Red Dot Design Museum Xiamen. The museum will open its doors in autumn 2023 after moving to a new location in the Jimei district. Winners of the Red Dot Award: Product Design will be presented. The museum's permanent exhibition also features winners of the Contemporary Good Design Awards.
