In this video, Republic of Gamers, a manufacturer of gaming hardware, implements the concept of Forbidden Technology to represent the features of their Flow X13 notebook and XG Mobile graphics processor. To illustrate that these products surpass the frontiers of the previously known capabilities of a 13" device, the images take viewers into an outer-space scenario in a distant future and create a link to the world of video games. A pattern of textured lines across the chassis of the laptop, which are to depict a gravity wave, is employed as a connecting visual element between the real product world and science-fiction imagery.
