The Ultra-Fast EV Charger 400kW

The Ultra-Fast EV Charger 400kW increases the utility and charging efficiency of the charger with CCS (Combined Charging System). It is provided in a range of power options from 100kW to 400kW and power is distributed among the chargers automatically to optimise the efficiency of the charger, thus reducing charge time. Various UX ideas, based on in-depth analysis of user habits and processes, have also been applied to enhance usability and user experience. Overall, its curved formative language, white exterior and bright blue lighting gives the charger a friendly and clean image. In terms of details, the charge indicator design shows the intuitive progress of charging while reflecting the design identity of the unique minimal exterior with a capsule motif. A specially designed moving cable management system on the charger not only protects charging cables from damage, but also enables quick plugging and unplugging from the power sockets in vehicles as well as from the charger. Subtle lighting on the base of the connector enables users to find the socket quickly under dim lighting. The coupler grip is designed with smooth curves that mimic the shape of its capsule design motif. This amplifies the user perception of using a smart electronic rather than a mechanical device. The indicator on the head of the coupler shows the ‘locked’ and ‘unlocked’ status of the coupler. The coupler container is angled to enable the coupler to be easily plugged in and out from the charger. During the charging process, the LED dot matrix indicator display above the coupler container functions as an intuitive action guide for five different signals: a normal, ‘remove coupler’, charging, ‘reattach coupler’ and a warning mode.
