The event The Social Kitchen 2012 re-evaluates the kitchen as no longer just a room where food is prepared, but as a social hub in everyday life. A custom designed 65 metre long kitchen was installed in the venue “The Cloud”. The linear experience allowed guests to move along a journey of food. At every step, guests interacted with designers who wore T-shirts with questions about their experience to prompt conversations about life around the product they designed. At the end, 126 questions were compiled into a publication and given to the guests.
