Safety Tail
Safety Tail was developed to address the high number of accidents in tunnels. These accidents are often caused by too little distance between cars. Drivers lack a sense of speed and distance, because a large part of the accessible visual information is missing in tunnels. This traffic accident prevention system is based on sensors attached to the wall of the tunnel. They detect the speed and distance between cars and trigger red lights that indicate the proper safety distance, thus making it clear to drivers whether they are keeping a safe distance or not.
