NIDUS
NIDUS is a short animation project that uses a magical realism narrative to discuss depression and liberation. The film reveals the ‘experiential avoidance’ or ‘frozen emotions’ that one may face when suddenly confronted with a sad or traumatic event. In the story, Barney has had an undiagnosed disorder since he was a child. After his mother’s funeral, Barney lays an egg that takes over his mind and continues to influence his life.
