The Sounds of Taiwanese History
Museum Of Inspiration
The MUSEUM OF INSPIRATION is a museum that combines art and technology. The first floor of this museum exhibits about 50 works and the second floor is a showcase area for a valuable collection of model aircraft. The purpose of this museum is to explain the technological revolution in a simple way that will motivate people to explore the future.
The visual design, also titled MUSEUM OF INSPIRATION, is based on the number 360. Symbolic of time, 360 is a recurring number in everyday life. 60 is a factor of 360, and there are 60 seconds in a minute and 60 minutes in an hour. 360 degrees comes full circle—it is also an important number in ancient Egyptian culture and in their calculation of time.
The 24 layers in the logo represent the hours of the day. 24 is a factor of 360 and is used to create the different layers of the logo. There are 360 black and white boxes in each layer. This symbolism around the number 360 governs both the design of the logo and the museum’s merchandise.
