HT-AX7
Big Sound in Small Format
More and more people are watching movies and TV series on smartphones and tablets these days. The downside is poor sound quality, because rich audio – especially surround sound – is an important part of the immersive cinematic experience. Home audio systems with immersive sound that are in no way inferior to cinematic systems have long been available. However, they are large, stationary and too expensive for younger consumers to afford. The HT-AX7 speaker system delivers a spatial sound experience that comes very close to that of surround sound, yet with minimal set-up. There is a main speaker that functions as a base station for storing and charging the two smaller speakers when the device is not in use. To operate the system, the small speakers are simply removed from the main speaker and placed behind it. For ease of operation, the main unit communicates via Bluetooth with its satellites. In terms of sound quality, the manufacturer has made the best possible use of the small volume of the housing to create an immersive sound experience. Being so compact, easy to transport, set up and dismantle, the HT-AX7 can be used very flexibly on the sofa, on the bed or on the balcony. Thanks to its robustness, the speaker is also suitable for any occasion. Another thing that clearly sets this product apart is its unusual form, and this also immediately caught the jury’s eye. The judges praised the HT-AX7’s reduced appearance and minimal range of materials. Soft colours and fabric covers give the HT-AX7 a warm, low-profile appearance that blends unobtrusively into any environment. The fabric is made of recycled materials and the main unit of recycled plastic components so as to minimise environmental impact. This feature is likely to appeal to the younger generation in particular, and the jury believes that it is a product perfectly attuned to the times.
