Positioned as a creative brand consultancy, MetaDesign has been assisting companies as well as SMEs, public institutions and NGOs in all aspects of branding since its founding in 1979 - from brand design and employer branding, to the development of digital products and services, to experiences in stores, at trade fairs or exhibitions. MetaDesign was awarded the honorary title "Red Dot: Agency of the Year" in 2022 for its consistent creative performance at a very high level.
MetaDesign looks back on over 40 years of experience in the creative industry. The agency was founded and led by typographer Erik Spiekermann until he left in 2001. Spiekermann founded the design agency in 1979 together with three partners in Berlin. MetaDesign has been part of the Publicis Groupe since the mid-2010s and is now represented by around 300 employees at seven locations on three continents.
Clients such as AOK, Porsche, Heidelberg Materials, Didi Chuxing, Henkel and MediaMarkt benefit from the agency's extensive expertise and experience.
