Today, intraoral cameras have become part of the basic equipment of dental practices. They are used for the early diagnosis of dental caries and for visualising plaque, which is possible by means of fluorescence imaging. This provides users with a quick impression of the current status of a patient’s teeth and allows it to be discussed based upon these images, which are viewable on a connected monitor. The VistaCam iX is also suitable for taking still images and video clips. On the one hand, with its unique, interchangeable top-part system, different diagnostic treatments are possible. On the other, this feature proves particularly effective in large dental practices, since the cameras can be used in different treatment rooms. A well-thought-out design language allows all areas to be cleaned hygienically.
