Tsunagaru Katachi
The Tsunagaru Katachi wedding rings – Tsunagaru means being connected – are made using a 400-year-old Japanese forging technique called Mokume Gane. The layering and then forging together of numerous differently coloured metals produces a pattern akin to wood grain. This technique makes it possible to create a unique pattern for every bride and groom. That creates a special bond which is strengthened when the couple itself divides the ring to create two wedding rings.
Statement by the Jury
Sophisticated Japanese craftsmanship comes to the fore in the design of the Tsunagaru Katachi wedding rings whose fine grain is unmistakable and unique.
