Thanks to a clear design language and consistent emphasis on lightweight construction, a set of these wheelchair wheels achieves a weight of less than 1,000 grams. The rims are made of carbon fibre, the hubs of aluminium and the spokes of high-strength synthetic fibre. Despite its light weight, this low-maintenance wheel – whose development was funded by the European Union with moneys from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) – offers strength, rigidity and ride comfort. It is suitable for use in both everyday life and in sports.
