Molecular Futures

Molecular Futures envisions a virtual future for the specialty chemicals industry. Based on a scenario study by the corporate foresight unit of the company Evonik, the app presents five future scenarios in an everyday setting – a bathroom and a workplace. For each scenario, the interior and products of daily use are designed accordingly. The interactive environments serve as a setting for short stories that portray characters and careers, as well as radio news describing the broader context of the imagined future worlds.
