The iON Winter tyre was specially developed for electric cars. Its tread structure and material compound ensure stability, even with heavy electric vehicles. The reduced rotational resistance increases energy efficiency. Additional half-grooves and sipe angles not only enable more stable handling and cornering in wet conditions, but also improve traction and increase braking efficiency at low temperatures and in winter road conditions. Furthermore, the distinctive groove structure on the outside reduces noise. The jury commended the extent to which the design of the iON Winter successfully implements the technical requirements of modern electric mobility.
