Outwardly, the BMW i8 displays all the characteristics of a sports car, yet the engine bay features an environmentally friendly plug-in hybrid system. Thanks to an aerodynamic design, the car has a flat, wedge-shaped silhouette. Tightly drawn surfaces and precise edges enhance the airflow. Doors and the so-called black belt – a black design element running from the front over the roof to the rear – make the appearance complete. The interior is distinguished by use of light, sustainably produced materials and components made of renewable raw materials.

The BMW i8 gains merit with its radical, emotionally appealing sports car design, which is combined harmoniously with pioneering drive technology.
