Visits to museums are rare among children in Taiwan. They spend more than 24,000 hours poring over books during their school career. This is where the project comes in: it brings art directly to the children at school. The textbook covers are, in accordance with the subjects, designed with colourful illustrations, drawings, graphics, and shape and colour games. Thus, they become a work of art themselves and the collected books turn into a small museum of their own. The design encourages the involvement with art, shows the children its versatility, and increases their joy of learning.
