Mimi Yan

Mimi Yan has 20 years of experience in design and lifestyle communication. As a core member of the founding team of ELLE DECORATION China, she also served as the founding judge of the EDIDA China Design Awards. From 2004 to 2012, she led her team in building the brand into a leading media outlet for China’s design and home deco industries, and witnessed and empowered the growth of Chinese designers.

After starting her own business as curator and culture producer in 2013, she curated numerous cultural exhibitions with themes ranging from design, craft, to fashion, dedicated to promoting the exchange and dissemination of design culture between China and Europe. In her spare time, she enjoys art translation and has already published two translated works : “l’art Prehistoire” (2020) and “Modigliani” (2023).

In August 2022, she returned to ELLE DECORATION China team as the omnimedia editorial director & publisher.
