ZHE

ZHE is a lightweight and minimalist rocking chair with an elegant form conveyed by the tensile force that is applied over the elastic mesh. The design intent is to create a chair that does not require a complicated manufacturing process. In light of this, the steel tube construction combined with elastic mesh makes the product’s production much more efficient. The translucent mesh of ZHE reveals the elegance of the curved steel tubes as well as the curvature of the chair’s shell, which is shaped by tensile force. The chair’s structure is supported by a steel tube skeleton wrapped in stretchy elastic mesh. Both the steel tube and the elastic mesh are recyclable, which makes ZHE environmentally friendly. ZHE is significantly lighter than a traditional wooden rocking chair due to its lightweight construction and it is designed to be easily moved around. Thanks to the UV-resistant elastic mesh for outdoor use, the chair is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Furthermore, its ergonomic design provides excellent comfort, and the relaxed sitting position in particular allows the user to sit for extended periods of time. The armrest is integrated into the minimal chair form, making ZHE both functional and beautiful.
