Founded in Berlin in 2019, YUNOS produces and sells skincare products and dietary supplements for men. The brand name YUNOS is an amalgamation of different notions. The Y illustrates the various decisions one has to make at the forks in life. The letter U stands for the English “you”, while NOS is derived from the Spanish word for “us”. These letters aim at expressing the deep and trusting connection between consumers and the brand. In addition, the letter Y also serves as a concise trademark. The products of the brand are all developed and manufactured in Germany and are free of any potentially harmful ingredients. This uncompromising philosophy is vividly expressed by the claim “Clean Performance for Men”. All products, their packaging and communication media are crafted in-house. The design language combines classic design elements with contemporary qualities to form a minimal and focused brand appearance that projects vibrancy and self-confidence. The black colour embodies the aspect of “Performance”, while white is intuitively associated to symbolise “Clean” in terms of purity. The expressive packaging design successfully visualises the brand’s character flexibly across various shapes and materials, thereby creating a uniform brand appearance with a high level of brand recognition. The products are only distributed online. This makes the YUNOS online shop the major consumer touchpoint with the brand. The shop was designed using a mobile-first approach to cater to the fact that most purchases are today made from mobile devices. Large product and lifestyle images mirror the brand’s core elements of self-confidence and sophistication. Social media channels in particular are mainly used to attract the attention of customers, to engage them in a meaningful dialogue and thus to achieve lasting customer loyalty.
