The York table model is made of hardened steel. The steel elements are laser-cut and then folded, with the relatively thin tabletop held in place by thicker steel sheets. The unusual Y-shaped table legs lend the table a light appearance and also give the model its name. Screws and fixings are concealed on the inside, making the outer contours appear seamless and as if cast from a single mould. Despite the minimal use of materials, York has a high structural integrity and radiates a pleasant lightness.
