Modular and Intelligent

Robotics and AI applications are proliferating in industry and research, as well as in everyday life, and they are increasingly complex. Low-threshold access to this technology of the future is therefore particularly important for the younger generation. This is precisely what UGOT provides. It is a modular kit for AI-operated educational robots developed with a rigorous design in the Chinese town of Shenzhen by the UBTECH ROBOTICS company for school and university students but also for recreational use. UGOT allows users to quickly and easily build and explore robots with different features and abilities. Each robot consists of a central, battery-operated control element equipped with a processor, memory and interfaces as well as a set of legs, wheels, joints or grippers that determine which type of robot is built. Extensive, configurable peripherals – including a camera module, infrared, ranging and other sensors – allow for a wide variety of scenarios. First Person View (FPV) driving, motion tracking, object and facial recognition as well as voice recognition integrating ChatGPT are just a few of the technical highlights that make interacting with UGOT fun. The fact that it is also equipped with several open-source interfaces helps to kindle a spirit of innovation and makes learning about AI robotics simple and engaging. The jury was won over by this approach. “This combination of carefully designed hard- and software allows children and young people to explore different approaches to artificial intelligence in an extremely easy way. In particular the intuitive combination of high-tech with fun while learning makes UGOT such a strong product.” The modular design of UGOT and the simplified shape of the parts, which can be connected with an innovative rotating knob lock, make assembly and dismantling very straightforward, enabling students to experience AI and its far-reaching possibilities in an uncomplicated way. As the central element of UGOT is successively updated and additional robot shapes are added, it will allow users to repeatedly access new technical areas.
