Tūī Talks
Tūī Talks helps families cope with a Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis. A native Tūī bird soft toy symbolising life fulfilment acts as a narrator. Books for both child and caregivers facilitate learning through routines like bedtime storytelling, with joyful illustrations and handmade textures making information approachable. The visual system can be applied to other medical conditions to promote understanding and confidence.
