Since antiquity, sailing has been associated with the image and feeling of true freedom, an activity that involves the challenge of and control over the elemental forces of the sea. The familiar sailing dinghy has been given a new sense of lightness through the Tiwal 3.2 design concept. This sport device is highly compact and easy to transport. It is highly fascinating how the 50 kg contents of only two bags easily transform into a dinghy on site. The Tiwal 3.2 is inflatable and all necessary elements needed for sailing can be assembled into a fully functional sailing dinghy in less than 20 minutes. The individual assembly steps are logically structured, self-explanatory and intuitive. The dinghy’s hydrodynamic hull uses a double skin fabric that offers a high level of stiffness when inflated. The underbody features a V-shaped and wide open design that provides good stability and safety. The specific construction of the hull allows this dinghy to quickly reach planing speed and surf. In addition, the sail of the Tiwal 3.2 was designed without a boom to provide high clearance and a good view all round. The design offers generous space for up to two adults to easily changing tack including difficult jibes. Thanks to its compact design, this sailing dinghy also facilitates fast reaction times – and being easily transported, assembled, folded up and stored away, it allows a great deal of freedom in spontaneous leisure activities.
