The Sounds of Night Market

The night market is the most popular tourist destination in Taiwan and part of its popular culture. This project is based on field research into famous night markets, as well as on audio and video recording. The work presents the lively nature of the goings-on through a mixture of illustrations, sound effects and interactive games. It uses the aesthetic of traditional vinyl records and a wide variety of night market-style packages to convey the unique beauty of this special element of Taiwanese culture and allow users to experience it no matter where they are or what time it might be.
