The End Zone
Over 42,000 US citizens died from opiate drug overdoses in 2016. Many of these deaths were caused by prescription opioids after sport injuries. In order to raise awareness of the issue, this integrated campaign focuses on local high school sporting events. By painting arenas, stadium seats and tickets black, the project commemorates the number of victims in the past couple of years in the area. People in the community are provided with opportunities to interact on social networks, for instance by sharing the project’s hashtag or by tagging their own seat on a microsite.
