Silkworm Box

Silkworm Box is an intelligent sericulture kit designed to foster children’s curiosity, inspire scientific thinking and improve their hands-on skills. It takes inspiration from traditional Chinese sericulture tools and applies intelligent technology to the entire sericulture process. Children have more opportunities to interact with nature by studying the entire growth cycle of silkworms. Cooperation between children and their parents during this activity can also create deeper familial bonds. The silkworm is a metamorphic developmental insect, and this product divides its optimum temperature from egg to adult into three modes. The optimal humidity, temperature and lighting can be controlled by simply pressing the corresponding button for each stage of the silkworm. Silkworm Box’s unique lifting structure is inspired by the traditional silkworm breeding tools that resemble square cardboard clusters. It also cleverly alludes to the habits of silkworms, which typically crawl into the square when entering the cocooning period to spit out silk and cocoon. The internal environment of the box can be monitored in real-time using the kit’s app. At the same time, the child can learn more about raising silkworms and transact on the Silkworm Shop via the app.
