With the increasing integration of the kitchen into the living area, the demands on household appliances such as extractor hoods are also changing. Therefore, hoods are either designed to make a personal statement with an eye-catching appearance, or they are designed to be invisible before and after use, contributing to a trouble-free living environment. The integrated design hood from Siemens convincingly embodies this latter approach. The simply designed product with a compact width of 90 cm is suitable for simple installation in a wall cabinet. The installation, which does not require any sawn cut-outs, preserves the stability of the cabinet structure. To activate the hood, all that is required is to fold out a discreet, glass flat screen manually from the wall unit. Operation is by touch directly on the glass, with the brand-typical blue lighting providing visual feedback to the user. In operation, a brushless iQdrive motor ensures that steam and odours above the hob are extracted powerfully and quietly. Three integrated LED spots with adjustable colour temperature provide either cold working light or warm mood lighting.
