Platinum Originality
Platinum Originality is an international competition for graphic design students which is hosted by the China Academy of Art. The brand design for the 17th edition of the competition is dominated by the patterns of metal textures with a black and white gradient tone. The key visuals are designed through model building, with metal material used to express platinum texture and form patterns with rich details. This results in a visually uniform presentation of everyday objects with a three-dimensional appearance which set themselves apart from the bright-yellow background. The creative arrangement and combination of typography and graphics also encourages observers to use their imagination and associative skills and motivates them to get involved.
