Petal Maps

Petal Maps is an app created for Huawei Mobile Services that gives travellers an alternative way to explore the world. As, of course, designing a map is a struggle against the complexity of billions of pieces of map data, the first principle of Petal Maps was to be minimalist, intuitive and unobtrusive. The transitions from opening the map and selecting a location to starting navigation flow naturally. In the UI layers, the map view and detailed information are well organised by half modal windows overlaying the base map, which is built as a work of art.
