PEPERO
“The Birth of Pepero”, dated 11 November and named Pepero-Day, is the concept for a special edition of the Korean chocolate snack brand of the same name. The design picks up on the so-called proxy emotion trend, which uses characters or emojis to express emotions to others. Thus, each of the six different packages, which are designed in bold colours, features an illustrated character based on the different flavours and shapes of the candy. The lettering “11 / 11” and the illustration of the snack as a candle refer to the birthday of Pepero.
