The NumBlocks game was developed to help teach children basic arithmetic operations in a fun way. The physical aspect of the game – the pulling and balancing of blocks – is an essential element that promotes not only maths fluency, but also fine motor skills. In order to suit players of various levels, ten different game options are available. “With its carefully crafted wooden blocks, NumBlocks is a child-friendly alternative to digital learning games,” said the jury. “Touching and moving the blocks helps children internalise basic mathematical concepts.”
