Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2016 – the jury continues to grow
M.Vision TO
The M.VISION TO showcases an extremely cutting-edge exterior design inspired by the hydrofoil of a yacht, emphasising unrestricted movement and vehicle-sharing services in urban settings. Its quad communication interior design concept is based on the four-Integrated Pillar Drive System (IDPS).
The exterior features an integrated pillar module comprising sensors for autonomous driving, motion communication lighting with seven kinetic parts, road projection lighting with sound guidance, and the e-corner module for advanced driving capabilities. Inside, the vehicle offers customised layouts for passengers, including a folding, rotating, and detachable pivoting bench. A Mixed Reality (MR) display overlays 3D virtual objects onto the real driving environment, enhancing the passenger experience. The proactive UX detects passengers’ intentions and suggests functions through in-cabin sensing technology.
The M.VISION TO platform combines sensors, communication lighting, and drive systems through the integrated pillar drive system, enabling unique mobility movements such as crab driving, pivot turns, and diagonal driving via the e-corner module. This innovative production method for a Purpose-Based Vehicle (PBV) involves docking a space module with the four-integrated pillar drive system in a top-down manner. The sustainable IPDS reduces resources, costs, and environmental pollution during the mobility production process.
