Water filter jugs ensure that lime and taste-impairing substances in drinking water are reduced, so that the taste of tea, for instance, as well as other beverages remains unadulterated, and the kettles and coffee machines are protected to last longer. However, biological impurities such as mould and bacteria can accumulate in the filter cartridges and from there get into the actual treated water during the filtering process. LARQ Pitcher addresses this problem by optimising water treatment through a two-step water filtration and purification process. In a first step, an innovative activated carbon filter is used to remove substances such as lead, copper, benzene and mercury from the tap water. In a second step, UV disinfection comes into play to eliminate bacteria in the water. Visually appealing, the cleaning process is accompanied by a conspicuous LED light under the funnel, while a clear light signal indicates when the filter needs to be changed. This innovative functionality of LARQ Pitcher has been translated into a distinctive look defined by clean lines and a striking two-tone colour scheme. Also contributing to this appearance is the flat filter that is hidden in the upper coloured, matt housing part without protruding into the lower part of the jug. To enable effortless filling of the jug with one hand, the movable lid lowers as soon as it comes into contact with water.
