Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2016 – the jury continues to grow
Infinity Block
In research on elderly venues, individuals aged 65 and above may experience a decline in their ability to grasp object details due to frontal lobe deterioration. Neuroplasticity studies on mild cognitive impairment (MCI) have shown that cognitive training in dot and line recognition helps revitalise the brain.
Based on the Truchet pattern, INFINITY BLOCK redesigns and illustrates the six faces of the cube, allowing for limitless extensions of block patterns and endless variations in arrangement. This integration of various art forms creates beautiful designs representing the cultures of people from all regions, ethnicities, and age groups worldwide. These art forms include textual illustration, decorative patterns, calligraphy, and thematic designs spanning daily life, astronomy, cartoons, and animals.
INFINITY BLOCK, an innovative wooden cube toy, aims to promote brain vitality and creativity, particularly addressing cognitive decline in the elderly. Its aesthetic appeal and challenging gameplay make it an engaging and enjoyable experience.
