The 2020 Christmas campaign for the German discount store PENNY addresses the community spirit through storytelling. Since solidarity has become a key term in the COVID-19 pandemic, the campaign focused on those, who are often forgotten: homeless people. In this animated online film, a boy is repeatedly told off by adults, who say to him: imagine if everyone did that. He reinterprets this sentence infused with negativity into something positive by giving his chocolate Father Christmas to a homeless man. The tale is translated into charming imagery which skilfully appeals to the viewer’s emotions.
