The internal automatic darkening filter (ADF) unit of the welding helmet can be slid up and down effortlessly. Thus welding, grinding or cutting work can be performed without needing to change helmets. All adjustments to helix can be performed with one hand and the helmet is also surprisingly light, thus guaranteeing optimal comfort.” Thanks to the innovative slide-up technology, for example, the helmet weight is reduced to a minimum, resulting in less strain on the neck muscles. Alongside the novel slide-up technology, helix boasts a number of other advantages which enhance the welding helmet’s functional aesthetics. The panoramic XXL field of vision is six times larger than that of comparable products. This is achieved by a patented nose cut-out which brings the ADF shield closer to the eyes. This also helps to create a clear separation of the mouth and eye areas and prevents fogging-up of the protective lens. An intelligent control with five sensors enables perfect activation or deactivation of the anti-glare protection even in the most difficult of light conditions. What is more, the multi-sensor detection also takes care of permanent adjustment of darkness levels (ShadeTronic). Patented FadeTronic technology provides stepless regulation when opening the ADF display after welding. Thus, particularly in high-amperage applications, the helmet shields users from unpleasant afterglow and reduces eye fatigue.
