English Journey

뒤로 다운로드

In this book renowned photographer John Angerson retraces the steps that English writer J. B. Priestley took in his 1934 classic “English Journey”. Taken over three years, the photos in the book are a contemporary photographic record of England and carefully document today’s cultural and economic landscape, including service stations and fast-food chains. With 20 different covers reminiscent of English road signs on high-quality coloured linen binding, the book has been designed as a collector’s piece. The inside was printed on uncoated paper, while the photos on the uncoated glossy paper are “tipped” to make them look almost as if glued into a photo album in order to create an artistic contrast. On a foldable map in the style of the time accompanying the book, the route and places that John Angerson visited are precisely recorded and can thus easily be traced back. Gill Sans was used for the typeface within the book, including the inline cut.
