Fluorescent light sources indirectly illuminate the Cosmic Angel wall lamp from behind. In addition, 36 RGB-LEDs generate coloured light accents which are varied by remote control. The undulating and reflective surface of the body captures the light from the different sources and creates a mystic interchange of light and shadow. Ross Lovegrove says that his concept of the Cosmic Angel lighting family is based on the idea of “capturing the moment when a breeze of air touches a thin piece of paper and creates a natural process of rhythm and flow, providing sculptural lightness … just like in the universe, where apparently complex shapes create a feeling of infinity.”
