Broken Display Maps

Since the beginning of 2020, Samsung has been offering a drop-off repair service. Available in major cities throughout Germany and offering repairs by Samsung technicians on the spot, the task was to make the service widely known and to inform people about where to find local repair shops. The out-of-home poster placement in cities where the service was newly available showed illustrations of broken displays that upon closer inspection turned out to be maps of the respective city – including the local Smart Repair Service Point. Each visual is an interpretation of the city’s layout and was meticulously drawn by hand to resemble the unique look of real shards of glass.
