The BG1 blood glucose meter is connected to a smartphone via the earphone jack. The related app guides the user in testing blood glucose levels, thus simplifying the complicated testing process. Test results are transferred both to the mobile device and to the iHealth Cloud. The app calculates the current glucose value and trends. Moreover, it also informs the user about the number of remaining test strips and their expiration date.
