For the Bartók World Competition & Festival in September 2017, the Liszt Academy aimed to orchestrate the composer’s world in a powerful visual way that, at the same time, fulfils an emphatic image-building role. The spot was developed as an integral part of the competition’s new image concept, which is deliberately designed to be puritan yet impressive, accurate yet passionate. It follows a young musician who is listening to an original recording and is surrounded by instruments that relate to the competition’s different category every year, before literally running into Bartók himself.
