The iflyA380 iOS app has been developed to enhance the experience of flying in a wide-body aircraft and to include the time before and after the flight. For this purpose, virtual and augmented reality have been used and combined with service design thinking. Conceived as a travel companion for the passengers aboard the jetliner, it allows users to discover, book and explore their journey in an immersive way. Not only can they book a flight choosing from 13 different airlines and over 60 desti­nations; they can also take a 360-degree tour of the cabin ahead of time and interact with the plane in augmented reality.
