The AdvanCell ²¹²Pb Generator produces clinically usable doses of the radio isotope Alpha 212, which is required for radionuclide therapy. As a result, the device helps eliminate the supply bottlenecks that can occur with conventional manufacturing methods and therefore improves patient access to treatments. The aim of the development process was to transfer the highly complex technology into a transportable device with intuitive controls and a reduced appearance. In the jury’s opinion, this aim has been achieved with outstanding results: “The high aesthetics of the AdvanCell ²¹²Pb Generator reflect its innovation and inspire user trust.” The colour scheme, combining white and stainless-steel finishes, creates a clear reference to the medical environment.
