Sustainable design solutions

Mineral water has evolved from a luxury beverage to a versatile food. For example, German people consume 143.6 liters per capita, and can choose from over 500 varieties - whether still or sparkling, with fruit concentrates, herbal extracts, other additives or water from specific sources. Who does not want to carry water boxes and wants to live environmentally friendly, quenches his thirst with tap water. This continuous development is also reflected in designs which were awarded with a “Red Dot” in the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2015.

Brita's "Fill & Serve" transforms tap water into freshly filtered water. Due to the activated carbon filter, substances that impair the smell and taste of tap water are filtered out. Moreover, the inner funnel is not visible when the carafe is filled.

The pitcher "Contigo Autoseal" offers an infuser stick for fruits, herbs or vegetables. As a result, the tap water can be enriched with natural flavours according to individual choice. Additionally, the ice core cools each drink without diluting it. The patented Autoseal closure also ensures a hundred percent tightness.

Already 2013, the water filter bottle “Sukori” was awarded with an Honourable Mention. The bottle provides an integrated filter function, which can be activated as required with a simple movement. In the same year, the drinking bottle “Dopper” also received an Honourable Mention. The Red Dot jury noticed: “With its clear, contemporary design, Dopper is a convincing ambassador for sustainability.”
