Designerprofile
Since 1990, Knowit has been supporting businesses on their digital transformation journey. Its 3,800 employees create customised system developments and data-driven communication. Since Knowit Experience took over Creuna in 2019, Knowit has also been focusing on developing brand identities underpinned by the company’s digital expertise. The CD development for Glamox successfully proved once again that corporate identities can work equally well in the analogue and digital realms.
Knowit Experience in an Interview with Red Dot
Red Dot: The corporate design for Glamox works equally well for analogue and digital applications. Is that one of the biggest challenges today?
Knowit Experience: Yes, when we create a brand identity, we focus on the challenges of making it work equally well for every use. We also believe in bringing an identity to life through motion and sound. This has become more and more important in the past few years and definitely is something that is here to stay.
How important is sustainability to you - also in the development of digital solutions?
Sustainability is of course very important. And it is a given in all we do – we keep a sharp focus on environmental and social issues when we design things. Universal and inclusive design, for example, is very important and is required by law in Norway for digital media. It does not mean that we are perfect or never make mistakes, but it means we have to be open-minded and ready to get better and better.
