All design concepts can only be submitted online at My Red Dot.

  1. Create an account through My Red Dot.
  2. Click on “prepare your entry”.
  3. Fill in and complete the entry information, and upload images of the project.
  4. Save entry.
  5. Click on “Submit your entry for judging” to submit and pay for the entry.

The preparation form will ask you to provide:

  • a Design Brief
  • Summary
  • Description
  • up to 5 images of the design concept.

You may enter as many design concepts as you wish.

It refers to the date on which the design concept is first created. This is important in the event of an intellectual property dispute.

You can make changes after saving your entry. However, after submitting your entry, you will not be able to make amendments.

You can group a series of design concepts and submit it as one entry if they are based upon a common concept. Otherwise, they have to be submitted as separate entries.

We do not have templates determining how you should present your entry. There are format guidelines as to what information you should include in the presentation. You can find the format requirements here.

After submitting your entry

No. The entry(s) you have uploaded will be printed for final judging.

If you are at the “prepare your entry” stage, you can still amend your entry information. If you have already submitted the entry, no changes can be made.

After submitting an entry, you will receive a confirmation email. All submitted entries will also be recorded in the “Status and result” section of the participant portal.

Please check your junk/spam mailbox for the email. Please also check the security settings of your mail server and allow automated emails from Red Dot.

If you are unable to find it, please login to the participant portal. In the Status and Result page, you will find all the entries that you have submitted.

Please refer to the “Announcement” section under Dates and Deadlines in the Participate page. Results will also be available in the Status and Results page of the participant portal.

Do I have to send in a prototype / mock-up / video for my design concept?

Do I have to send in a prototype / mock-up / video for my design concept?

Prototypes, mock-ups, and videos are additional materials and optional. You may send them in if you think they will help the jury better understand your design concept.

All prototypes sent will be subject to an administrative fee, this does not include shipping. The size and weight of the prototype determine the administrative fees, please refer to ‘Fees - Submission of Prototype’ for detailed information.

Please refer to “Delivery & collection” for the dates to arrange your collection.

Due to the fragility and one-off nature of prototypes, and mock-ups, please make your decision to send the prototypes/mock-ups carefully. Red Dot Singapore will not be liable for any damage incurred during judging, storage, and/or exhibition of the prototype/mock-up.
