Eco2 - The Intelligent home lighting system with visualized carbon emission
SteriPak
SteriPak facilitates safe, consistent sterilisation of equipment to lower infant mortality rates and increase the overall quality of life. Each kit costs less than $10. Its design repurposes end-of-life gas storage cylinders, which are usually significant investments for their owners, into a product that adds value to the community. The SteriPak conversion re-uses 99% of the material from the gas cylinder to minimise waste.
The mass-produced kit is made from polycarbonate, steel and silicone and incorporates pressure regulation, safety and air purging features. Its valve directly replaces the gas bottle’s fill valve; the spring is calibrated to maintain the 15 psi of steam pressure to achieve 121°C for the 15 minutes necessary for sterilisation. Simply place items on the base plate, pour in 2 litres of water, tighten the lid using the 6 clamps and place on a heat source. When thick steam comes out of the top valve, close it and leave it on the heat for 15 minutes, then remove it from the heat source and open the top valve. Allow the SteriPak to stand and cool for 5 minutes. The items are now sterilised.
