ROTO
The tendency to overfill a stovetop kettle due to misjudgement and unclear temperature feedback often leads to water and energy wastage. ROTO offers an innovative design that simplifies water level measurement and enhances temperature feedback.
ROTO revolutionises the kettle’s temperature feedback with its transforming spout and lid, driven by a mechanism at the base, hidden beneath the central water meter. At the heart of this mechanism is a Nitinol 2-way shape spring that is known for its thermal properties. As the kettle heats, the spring undergoes a phase transition from the pressure, triggering its shape memory. At room temperature, the spring contracts, keeping the spout facing the handle. When heated, the spring expands, rotating the lid and spout and transforming ROTO into a standard functional kettle.
The kettle also features a central water meter for precise cup measurements, guiding users on the ideal water amount. This removable central water meter provides ease of maintenance and cleaning while ensuring accurate measurements to reduce waste and optimise usage. ROTO represents a paradigm shift in kettle design, addressing environmental concerns while offering an engaging and efficient brewing experience. It sets a new standard for sustainable, user-friendly design with a significant global impact.
